Skip the morning rush to see a GP by visiting your pharmacy if you suspect you have one of seven minor conditions.

Who is eligible for Pharmacy First?

  • Sinusitis (adults and children aged 12 years and over)
  • Sore throat (adults
  •  and children aged 5 years and over)
  • Earache (children aged 1 year to 17 years)
  • Infected insect bites (adults and children aged 1 year and
    over)
  • Impetigo (adults and children aged 1 year and over)
  • Shingles (adults aged 18 years and over)
  • Uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women (women aged
    16 to 64 years)

What will the pharmacist ask during my consultation?

Our pharmacist will want to understand:

  • The symptoms you’re experiencing
  • Your medical history
  • If you’re experiencing any other types of illness.

This will help them recommend treatments and medicines that will work for you.
